Boost the Total Development of Your Children through Summer Camp Program
Who said summer is a time to take a break from learning?
Well, if you mean learning that we get from the four walls of the classroom, that statement may be true. But if you mean learning in general, the world outside the classroom offers a limitless source of things to discover, to know and to enjoy.
Summer camp is one such avenue for the students to learn many things in life that sometimes they cannot get just by sitting on their desk in school.
Our institution Step One Academy LLC, the fun and entertaining early childhood education in Plainfield NJ, always has that in mind. It is for this reason that we offer summer camp program for kids whose age ranges from 6 weeks through 13 years old.
As the trusted educators of your children we always make every effort to provide developmentally appropriate care and comprehensive learning programs for them. Our goal is to give each child the finest early learning experience there is.
Here in our school, we say:
When the sun and your child’s energy are up, we make sure summer is a time for fun and more learnings with such cool activities as Leadership and Team Exercises, Swimming Lessons in a nearby facility, Scientific Experiments, Group Sports, Trips, Tutoring, Summer School Enrichment Activities and much much more!
Summer Camp Enhances the Total Wellbeing of Your Children
To some parents who may think summer camp is just a waste of time and resources, the opposite is true. Summer camp improves the physical, social, mental and even psychological health of your children. This is on top of the learning that they can amass from the different activities.
On the other hand, keeping your kids at home all summer may prove costly as far his physical health, social development and mental alertness are concerned. Why? Please read on.
Sun and Vitamin D3
You must be familiar with Vitamin D3.
If not, here it is. Vitamin D3 is one of the organic compounds essential for healthy human growth. Specifically, it is an important element required for normal bone development and it prevents the occurrence of rickets. The main source of this vitamin is the sun as it can be manufactured in the skin through exposure to sunlight.
Sadly, most Americans are deficient in Vitamin D3. It may have something to do with our climate. We don’t have much exposure to sunlight except during summer.
Imagine what your kids miss if you will just allow them to sit on their chairs in front of the personal computers or to slouch in their comfortable sofa playing Xbox or Playstation all summer long at home – and away from the sun.
Perspiration and Socialization
Everybody needs to break a sweat to maintain a healthy physique. Young, old, male, female, everyone does, more so for children. Our swimming lessons, group sports activities and trips serve as effective opportunity for our students to stretch their muscles and perspire.
While at that, they get the chance also to meet other students and make friends with them. It’s like they hit two birds with one stone – they perspire and they socialize. Nothing can be better than that.
Besides perspiration and socialization, your children get to stretch their mental muscles some more with the scientific experiments lined up for the summer. Those who are not inclined to physical exertions can unload their pent-up energies in discovering new things and flaunting their eureka moments.
Now, who said summer camp is not worth the time, the effort and the resources allotted for the different activities?
